One Maryland One Book
Coordinated via Maryland Humanities and the Enoch Pratt Free Library, One Maryland One Book brings people in Maryland together to read and discuss a single book every year.
This grant provides each library system in Maryland with a Tableau license and support. Using Tableau helps libraries to leverage their data for informed decision-making on collections, programming, staffing, and beyond. Beginning in 2019, this grant is piloting access to PolicyMap for all library systems. PolicyMap is a cloud-based mapping tool that makes demographic, socio-economic, and other data available in an easy-to-use visual format. Libraries can use this tool to understand their communities and target collections, services, and resources where they are most needed.
E-Rate is the federal program that reimburses schools and libraries for expenses related to the internet.
TechEd is a technology piloting program that tests out new technology for possible wider use in Maryland libraries.
The Accessible Textbook Program assists blind and print disabled college students find books that are accessible for education.
